paul nealInterflex has announced the appointment of a new commercial director as part of the automotive manufacturer’s ambitious strategy for expansion into new markets.

Paul Neale took on the position at the end of 2020. He brings with him over 15 years of experience working in the automotive and manufacturing industry, including in senior sales and consultancy positions.

Paul’s role at Interflex involves overseeing the sales, marketing and commercial sectors of the business, as well as co-ordinating its overall commercial direction. The move sees him reunited with Interflex’s MD Jim Griffin, whom Paul previously worked with when Jim was CEO of the Autins Group.

Proactive leadership to meet 2021’s automotive manufacturing challenges

Under Jim’s leadership, Interflex has taken a proactive approach to the challenges created by the pandemic, setting up a subsidiary operation Pinnacle PPE to manufacture PPE alongside the company’s ongoing automotive production.

With operations running smoothly and all staff back from furlough since early summer 2020, attention has turned to implementing pre-Covid plans for growth. A significant part of this strategy involves launching NVH products and sealing solutions into complementary industries such as construction, rail and aerospace.

“I’m delighted to be working in this exciting new role at Interflex; the team has been very welcoming,” Paul comments. “We have already developed our product portfolio and branding which will lay the foundations to create profitable and sustainable growth year on year within automotive and other key industries. Coming soon……. a new lightweight acoustic absorber

One of Paul’s first major projects is leading the imminent launch of Interflex’s new acoustic absorber. Known as Ocean, the new high performance lightweight absorber is made from a minimum 75% recycled product. It can also be recycled at the end of its life, making it a great sustainable solution for a range of NVH issues. More information about this exciting new product will be forthcoming soon so watch this space!

Having spent almost a decade working in the development of acoustic and thermal products at a previous company, Paul is highly experienced in implementing new product lines, as well as launching products and expanding into European markets. He also has extensive experience in developing intergroup business and driving growth through group branding and marketing.
