The Interflex team is looking forward to attending the Make UK National Manufacturing Conference which will take place on Tuesday 7th March at the QEII Centre in London.

This year’s theme of ‘Inspiring Solutions’ is a perfect fit for Interflex’s ethos of innovating to provide lightweight, cost-effective and sustainable materials for the automotive industry and beyond.

Showcasing our latest products

With around 800 industry peers to meet and network with at the event, we’re very much looking forward to sharing our latest products. In particular we’re excited to be showcasing Ocean, our new lightweight material. Originally designed for reducing acoustic absorption in vehicles, Ocean is already in use within major OEMs in the automotive industry. However, the versatile nature of Ocean means it’s also suitable for providing noise reduction and thermal insulation solutions in a wide range of manufacturing sectors, including rail, marine and construction.

In a climate of manufacturers looking for sustainable but affordable solutions in the manufacturing supply chain, one of the major benefits of Ocean is the fact that it’s made from 75% recycled polyester and is recyclable at the end of its impressive lifespan. In addition to that, the product is sourced and manufactured in Europe, making it a great choice for manufacturers looking to reduce their carbon footprint.

Benefiting from a wealth of industry experience

As well as the opportunity to network and catch up with industry peers, the National Manufacturing Conference is an ideal opportunity to listen to a wide range of expert speakers from the manufacturing industry such as Stephen Phipson CBE, CEO of Make UK. The political sphere will also be represented by speakers including the shadow chancellor Rachel Reeves, offering professionals in the manufacturing industry an opportunity to challenge how policies can turn the economy around and create a climate that favours growth in the manufacturing sector.

As all sectors of manufacturing continue to grapple with the cost of living crisis, the aftermath of Brexit and the continuing consequences of the war in Ukraine, so it will be interesting to hear the views of political decision makers and the thoughts of leading experts in UK manufacturing on how to navigate the current storms and futureproof the manufacturing industry in the face of the challenges currently being faced in the UK. Certainly, breakout sessions on Digitalise to Decarbonise, Recruiting Outside the Box and Great Global Britain, should offer great opportunities to share best practice and inspire constructive debate.

Innovating for a greener, more efficient future

Here at Interflex, we’re committed to evolving with the times to create the materials that are needed for modern manufacturing. That’s why we’re excited to share Ocean and the other high-quality NVH solutions we offer with our industry colleagues at the National Manufacturing Conference. In turn, we’re looking forward to learning more about new developments and products from our peers.
